Vitalbacteria Kits
Vitalbacteria kits have been designed and developed with the University of St Andrews and represent a new opportunity for the rapid and effective diagnosis of TB through molecular bacterial load assay (MBLA). MBLA works by amplifying the 16S ribosomal RNA (rRNA) of M. tuberculosis in a PCR reaction which takes less than four hours to provide a result which is specific to M. tuberculosis and is not compromised by any other organisms which can be found in patient samples.

The most popular current method for diagnosis and the assessment of performance of treatments of TB is bacterial culture which is a much slower and more expensive process, so we believe that Vitalbacteria kits represent a leap forward in the fight against TB.
